Live Bar, November 12-FIBA’s official website released the FIBA’s statement on Australia’s participation in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian regional qualifier. Australia abandoned the game against Iran in the fifth window FIFA World Cup qualification, and Iran won 20-0.

FIBA Official website wrote like this: because the Australian Basketball Association told the International Basketball Federation that the team decided not to go to Iran, the game originally scheduled for November 14, 2022could not be held, and Iran won the game.

FIBA also said it would investigate the matter to take further measures. The remaining matches in the fifth window of the men’s basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers will proceed as planned.
