CUBA officially changed its name to CUBAL to solve the problem that trademarks cannot be registered.
Starting from the new season, the abbreviation of CUBA (Chinese College Basketball League) will be renamed CUBAL.
According to insiders, the Chinese College Basketball League (abbreviated as CUBA) established in 1998 is consistent with the Republic of CUBA (abbreviated as CUBA), this makes the CUBA League trademark unable to be registered in the industrial and commercial department since its establishment, and naturally CUBA’s trademark cannot be effectively protected by trademark law.
The renamed CUBA League will completely solve this historical problem. The new identity is also enabled in subsequent CUBAL.
