During the off-season this year, Inner Mongolia renewed five active state players Women’s Basketball (Yang Liwei, Zhang Ru, Li Yuelu, Pan Zhenqi, and Huang Sijing), two former state players (Ma Xueya, Shen Yi), one player (Li Yifan) and powerful players Zou Qijia, Chen Liyu, Song Ning and Huang Jiali were selected into the national training team this summer. The team also signed Yang Shuyu, a member of the China women’s basketball training team this summer, Su Yuanyuan, a defender from Tsinghua University who just retired from CUBA, and Li Yiran, a defender from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

The 2022-2023 season WCBA is scheduled to start on November 30 and end on February 26. In the first round, Inner Mongolia Women’s basketball, the champion of last season, will face the runner-up Sichuan women’s basketball.
