Yi Li was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu province on November 7, 1985. He played 451 games for the Jiangsu team and scored 5424 points, 1731 rebounds, 709 assists, 575 steals 419 cap. In 2008, the Lakers invited Yi Li to play in the summer league. In the first three games of a total of five games, Yi Li did not get the chance to play. In the fourth game against the Timberwolves, Yi Li scored 5 points in 4 shots and 2 shots. In the last game of the summer league, Yi Li scored 2 points in 2 shots.

On September 21, 2020, Jiangsu men’s basketball officially announced that Yi Li chose to retire. After retirement, Yi Li stayed in the team as an assistant coach.
