Wang Bo was born on November 4, 1982, and entered Jilin men’s basketball in 1998. It was 10 years since Jilin men’s basketball fought in CBA Stadium in 2008. In July, 2009, Wang Bo transferred from Jilin to Guangsha men’s basketball. At that time, the contract was 5 years and 10 million years. After four seasons in Guangsha, he announced his retirement on the evening of November 13, 2013. In the same year, Wang Bo entered the coaching team and served as an assistant coach.

In December 2020, after Li Chunjiang, the former head coach of Guangsha, applied for resignation, the club made adjustments. Li Chunjiang served as the team consultant and Wang Bo, the former assistant coach, served as the head coach. On May 21, 2021, Wang Bo was officially appointed as the head coach of Guangsha men’s basketball. In March 2022, Wang Bo was elected as the best coach of the CBA2021-22 season. In April of the same year, he led Guangsha to win the CBA runner-up in the 2021-22 season.

In the first stage of the CBA2022-23 season, Guangsha scored 4 wins and 5 losses, ranking the 15th in the standings.
