Under the leadership of coach Zhan Shuping, xinjiang has been conducting closed training in Shenyang Women’s basketball to prepare for the new season.
When talking about the preparations for the new season, Zhan Shuping said: “Xinjiang Women’s basketball still retains the main lineup in the new season. Although Zhang Lingge and Qiu Siyi’s departure have some influence on their strength, however, at the same time, some young players in the team still made great progress, such as Cai Xiaoyu, Zhou Xinzhen, Wu Yizhen, etc. Especially through this period of targeted training, the technical and tactical aspects of the players, defensive Echo and other aspects have been improved. In addition, the old players in the team, including Li Yuqiong and Wang Lili, are also more mature as a whole.”
In order to adapt to the rhythm of the competition, Xinjiang Women’s Basketball held several teaching warm-up matches with Liaoning women’s basketball and Liaoning Institute of Physical Education men’s basketball. Since the referee’s penalty scale in the new CBA league matches FIBA in an all-round way, and so does the WCBA league in the new season, Zhan Shuping specially arranged to participate in the referee training class, as well as the referees who have punished the CBA league in the new season to play the penalty warm-up match to help the team adapt to the confrontation and penalty scale of the new season as soon as possible.
Zhan Shuping said: “Through the teaching competition with Liaoning team, I think we can still test our entire offensive and defensive system some time ago. It is different from our own training through the competition, no matter the level of the opponent, but for us, I think it is also a test. No matter for Xinjiang Women’s basketball or Liaoning women’s basketball, I think playing more teaching competitions, it helps us a lot.”
